Wednesday's Design Goddess

This week's design goddess is Aerin Lauder Zinterhofer.  Aerin is an uber hip stylista and sophisticated taste-maker.  And thankfully, she has multiple homes to showcase her great sense of style.  We begin with her Aspen pad that combines the new rustic chic with a mid-century Danish modern vibe that is to die for.

In Aspen...

(Okay, Aerin - I have one pet peeve and that's with all this use of real fur...yeah, I love the way it looks and feels too, but come on, can't we just use faux fur instead so no animals are hurt?)

And in Manhattan...

a gorgeous dressing room with the most insanely beautiful desk I've ever seen!!

I love how Aerin frames her two sons' artwork in those hip green frames...and don't get me started on that banquette!

Okay, I'm crazy about this grayish plum colored dining room (custom mixed by Donald Kaufman Color)- it makes everything in it look so glamorous - especially with that Jim Thompson silk tablecloth!

And check out this cozy space!

the Library...

And she inherited a week-end home in the Hamptons from her grandmother, the iconic Estee Lauder.  Aerin has tweaked the traditional interiors perfectly - natch!

Check out this library -- it is so hip from the Chip Hooper photograph to the laquered black cabinets to the floor lighting by Serge Mouille, that asymetrical desk, and pinch me cuz I'm so in love with that graphic carpet by AM Collection.

And her hubby is super cute too!  What a charmed life!!

Until recently Aerin was Senior Vice President and Creative Director of her grandmother's legendary cosmetic firm, Estee Lauder.  Aerin announced this past April 2011, that she is launching her own luxury lifestyle firm AERIN, LLC. but will remain as global spokesperson  at Estee Lauder.  Its rumored that her new line will include clothing, accessories, china and houseware too. Can't wait to see what she comes up with!

Have a great day!

xoxo,

Millie
